We used A1 Exterminators approximately 13 years ago for an ant problem. A young technician named Aaron came out to the house and talked with us about the problem. He immediately told us that the pyracantha bush at the side of our house was being used by the ants as a ladder to get into the roof area. We replanted the bush immediately. He made some holes in our laundry room ceiling (near the site of the bush) and injected something in it. The next few days we had dead and semi dead ants in our bathroom. A sign that the pesticide was indeed working. I did see them for a few weeks after and called A1 exterminators again and Aaron came out and sprayed again. Within a few days, the ant problem was totally eradicated. They stood by their work and their word by coming out as many times as we needed. Now 13 years later, we have another ant problem. We called them to explain the situation (very large ants) and also that I just underwent chemotherapy so I was not wanting pesticides in the house. They said we can do the exterior to start and see what happens. They explained that if we ended up doing the interior, they would honor the same dollar amount and charge us the difference instead of the full fee. We were very happy when Aaron showed up (13 years later) and explained that the exterior pesticide was odorless so the ants don't go around it but walk through it and bring the poison to the rest of the colony. Within 24 hours, semi dead ants were showing up in the house. Since that time, we have not seen any live, semi dead or dead ants at all. It's been a week. It was great to see Aaron again and his love for his company and job. I am a faithful customer and would not hesitate to call A1 Exterminators for any problem with pest control. I would highly recommend A1 Exterminators to everyone looking for the best pest control service around. I initially spoke to Hidi who was extremely friendly and helpful. She had a technician sent out to us the day after my initial call to examine our house and property. The technician, Chris (Tech #82), who arrived to assess the situation was extremely knowledgeable and professional, not to mention friendly and approachable. We have just started the process of eliminating a rodent infestation and I feel very confident that A1 Exterminators will do an excellent job of taking care of the problem. Chris made sure we knew to contact him with any concerns or if we need him to come for a removal before our scheduled time. Every staff member I mentioned worked to schedule for our convenience and we were not left sitting around waiting for someone to show up between certain hours. They scheduled a date and time that worked best for us and were here when they said they would be. This whole experience with A1 has been top notch. I look forward to continuing to use them and recommending them to friends and family. I would recommend them to anyone reading this review. I would rate this as an A service experience.
I've never had any pest issues at my home. Out of nowhere this past week I walked into the kitchen to find carpenter ants roaming around. I called A1 Exterminators in Harwich in a bit of a panic. I did not have a maintenance contract with A1, but they sent a technician to the house that same day. He immediately put me at ease by identifying the source of the ants and where they were accessing the house. He treated the entire exterior and interior and also the source of the ants (a very old stockpile of wood on the neighbor's property, which abuts my driveway). It's been two days since the treatment and there is no sign of any ants! Both the technician and the office at A1 were extremely helpful and responsive. Based on my interactions with them and the effectiveness of the treatment, I very much recommend A1 to anyone needing pest control services.
